Where We Work
Cherokee County Tree Co. is based in Jacksonville, TX, where US-69 and US-79 cross in the middle of the Piney Woods, and works all of Cherokee County plus the neighboring stretches of Smith, Anderson, and Henderson counties — from Mount Selman up north to Wells down south. The same loblolly pines, post oaks, and sweetgums grow on the same sandy loam over clay in all of these towns, and the same spring storm season and occasional winter ice hit all of them. Rather than claim a generic "we serve all of East Texas," here's where we actually go: the Cherokee County towns closest to us — Mount Selman, Cuney, New Summerfield, Gallatin, Bullard, and Rusk, the county seat — then the Smith County side toward Troup, Flint, Whitehouse, and Arp, the Anderson County side toward Frankston, Neches, and Palestine, the Henderson County edge at Berryville and Chandler, and the southern end of the county at Reklaw, Alto, and Wells.

Smith County, about 17 miles north. Pines standing close to houses, and a short drive for us compared to a Tyler-side crew.
Cherokee/Rusk county line, about 18 miles east. Rural acreage and timber-country tree work.
Smith County, about 18 miles north. The Tyler side of our service area; established neighborhoods with big trees.
Anderson County, about 18 miles southwest. Farm and acreage lots where a single dead pine is a fence-line problem.
Smith County, about 21 miles northeast. Small town, deep woods, and a long way for a Tyler-side outfit to come.
Cherokee County, about 25 miles south on US-69. The southern reach of the county before Wells.
Anderson County, about 25 miles southwest on US-79. The biggest town we serve outside Jacksonville.
Cherokee County, about 26 miles south. Deep pine country at the far end of the county.
Henderson County, about 27 miles northwest. The far edge of where we go; still the same trees, same storms.
