Four Services, One Crew

Cherokee County Tree Co. started in 2016 as a removal outfit — one bucket truck, one chipper, and Wade Tolliver taking down pines and oaks around Jacksonville, Texas the way he'd learned to on a line-clearance crew. Removal is still the job we're known for, but a lot of the calls we get today aren't about taking a whole tree down. Sometimes it's the stump left behind from a removal years ago, sitting in the middle of the mowing line. Sometimes it's a big post oak over the driveway that only needs the deadwood cut out, or a pine with a limb hanging over the street lower than the city's 12-foot rule allows. Sometimes it's a back lot gone to yaupon and sweetgum saplings, or a building site that needs to be clean before a slab goes in. What ties the four together is the question Wade learned to ask first on the lines: where is the tree, and what is it threatening? A house, a fence, a power line, a road — the answer decides how the job gets rigged and what it costs. We built out Stump Grinding, Tree Trimming, and Land Clearing as real, separate services with their own pricing, not add-ons tacked onto a removal quote, because Cherokee County homeowners actually need all four, and we'd rather be plain about what each one involves and what it typically runs than lump everything into one vague "tree service" listing.
