Tree Removal in Flint, TX, Where the Country Meets the Subdivisions
Flint is an unincorporated community in Smith County, Texas, at the meeting of Farm Roads 2493, 346 and 2868, about four miles north of Bullard and roughly twenty miles, or twenty-five minutes, from our shop in Jacksonville. It started as a railroad stop in 1882 and got its name from a postmaster's misspelling of the landowner's name, Flynt, in 1887. Flint has grown from a couple of hundred people in the 1990s into a spread of acreage subdivisions and horse properties on the south side of the county, and that is exactly the tree work we see: tall loblolly pine left standing when a lot was cleared for a house, now alone in the wind, and large post oaks and hickories along old fence lines that are suddenly in someone's front yard. Lots here tend to be an acre or more, which gives us room to work but means more hauling. We price Flint like Bullard.
